Prior to my work as a graphic designer, I worked in marketing and advertising for the six years after graduating from college. I always wanted to work in the creative side of advertising and found what I was doing to be a daily grind in the truest sense of the word.
I would see inspiration everywhere I looked, from magazine covers and advertisements, postcards, gig posters, billboards, modern to vintage advertising art... basically everywhere I looked and thought, "why can't I do that?"
Well, that day finally came where I decided to pursue my love of creating art full on. Once I decided to get back on the path of my true calling I never looked back.
I received my certification in Web Design and Development from Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. My work focused in design, creation and implementation of web sites as well as web applications.
I am proficient in XHTML, CSS and have experience working with PHP and Javascript.
I'm also proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver.
I'm currently working on the development team at a great design and development firm in the DFWd area.
When I'm not at the 9-to-5 job I work as a freelance music critic for The Dallas Observer and its blog DC9atnight.com covering local and national music. I also work as a freelance graphic designer creating gig posters for promoters across the country as well as local bands and musicians in the DFWd metroplex.
